2002 and 2003

In September 2002, renovation began on the Herb Garden, in the Missouri Botanical Garden adjacent to Tower Grove House. Renovation continued through spring 2003 when The St. Louis Herb Society began placing plants. Members of the Garden’s horticultural staff and the members of the Society’s Horticultural Committee worked together on the herb plantings, irrigation, mulching, and the purchase of antique garden gates. The hardscape design was previously determined. The Grand Opening of the renovated Herb Garden, now named The St. Louis Herb Society Herb Garden, was June 26, 2003.
