Herbed Walnuts

Ingredients:

2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp olive oil
1 lb. walnut halves
1 1/2 tbsp crushed dried rosemary or 5 tbsp finely chopped fresh
1 tsp paprika
2 tsp salt

Directions:

Preheat oven to 325. Place butter and oil in a large pan and melt in the oven. Scatter nuts in the pan, stirring to coat with butter-oil mixture; then spread them out in a single layer. Scatter rosemary, paprika and salt over nuts. Bake 20-25 minutes, shaking and stirring until nuts are golden brown but not burned. Drain on paper towels. Serve warm or at room temperature. May substitute sage or roast cashews with powdered cumin, or almonds with ground ginger.
