As part of The St. Louis Herb Society's ongoing mission to educate and increase knowledge about the use, propagation, and cultivation of herbs, we offer courses at the Missouri Botanical Garden in the spring and fall. Each seasonal program features timely advice and demonstrations appropriate to the season. Generally included are segments on decorative uses of herbs, practical ways to use herbs, culinary demonstrations (and samples), take home recipes, and "sage garden advice" from the members of the St. Louis Herb Society. Reservations are required and must be made and paid through the Missouri Botanical Garden.
Two classes will be presented this fall in partnership with the Missouri Botanical Garden.
"September Secrets" will give you the inside scoop as The St. Louis Herb Society members dish out go-to herbal meals, reveal harvesting and preserving tips, and demonstrate decorating and crafting ideas that will take you through Fall with an herbal flair. Class will be held at the Center for Home Gardening, Missouri Botanical Garden on Thursday, September 21, from 9:30 until noon. Registration and payment is through Missouri Botanical Garden. "Knowing, Growing, and Cooking with Mediterranean Herbs", perfectly titled, provides the description for this class to be presented at the Center for Home Gardening, Missouri Botanical Garden, on Monday September 25, from 6 until 8:00 p.m. Registration and payment is through Missouri Botanical Garden.
